An enterprise data architecture consists a set of integrated, interoperable, and non-redundant data models. The overall enterprise data architecture can be accomplished top-down or bottom-up, or a combination of top-down and bottom-up. The top down parts consist of creating a set of enterprise data elements and specified data models after a review and analysis has been completed of existing reports, database designs, and other collections of enterprise data that might exist in spread-sheets, PC-databases, and the like.
