Synchronize DBMS Column Local Definitions

Columns may have different local definitions that all need to be synchronized. This reassignment is accomplished by:

  • Start the Operational Database Model Metabase System Module
  • Select the DBMS
  • Enter User Name and Password
  • Select the Menu Item, ReEngineering, and then the subordinate menu item, Synchronize DBMS Column Local Definitions.
  • Select a DBMS Schema
  • Select an DBMS Table
  • Tag one Synchronize-to DBMS Column.
  • For each DBMS Schema that contains an DBMS Table that in turn contains the DBMS Column that is to be changed
    • Select a DBMS Schema that contains the DBMS Table that in turn contains the DBMS Column that is to be the target of the changed local definition
    • Select an DBMS Table contains the DBMS Column that is to be the target of the changed local definition
    • Tag one or more DBMS Columns whose local definitions are to be changed.
  • Press the Synchronize Definition button that replaces the local definitions of all the tagged DBMS Columns.
