ReAssign Data Element Concept to Conceptual Value Domains

A Data Element Conceot may have been mistakenly assigned to a Conceptual Value Domain and it needs to be assigned to a different Conceptual Value Domain. Alternatively, there may have been the addition of a new Conceptual Value Domain and one or more of a set of existing Data Element Concept assignments need to be changed. In either case, this is accomplished by:

  • Start the Data Element Metabase System Module
  • Select the DBMS
  • Enter User Name and Password
  • Select the Menu Item, ReAssign Data Element Concepts to Conceptual Value Domains
  • Select the appropriate Move-From Conceptual Value Domain Structure Type
  • Select the appropriate Move-From Conceptual Value Domain Structure
  • Tag one or more Move-From Data Elements Concept that are to be moved to a different Conceptual Value Domain
  • Select the appropriate Move-To Conceptual Value Domain Structure Type
  • Tag the appropriate Move-To Conceptual Value Domain Structure which will be the new host Conceptual Value Domain
  • Press the Reassign button.
