Import SQL DDL

An Implemented Database Model consists of "data" that is stored in a Schema, Tables, Columns, and Keys. This data can be entered into the Metabase System through the processes described earlier, or can be "manufactured" by the Implemented  Database Model process, Import SQL DDL The process to accomplish the importing the SQL DDL includes:

• Start the Implemented Database Model Metabase System Module
• Select the DBMS
• Enter User Name and Password
• Select the Menu Item, Schema and Tables, then the subordinate item, SQL DDL, and finally the Import process
• Press the Insert button
• Create a new Schema
• Enter a Description
• Select the SQL DDL File
• Check Y[es] for the log file
• Press the Clear button to ensure that any existing log records are removed.
• Press the Import Button
• At the end, the Tables will be shown in the Table browse along with a Columns browse
